A Faraway Land

Once, in a dream,
I felt my feet crossing
An easy path.
Once, in a dream,
I saw content walking,
Hand in hand,
With my selfish deeds.
My soul was not gagged
By an overwhelming love.
My mind was not disillusioned
By a concrete future,
With no sensation
But that of infinite regret
And misled happiness.
Once, in a dream,
My fears wouldn’t paralyze
The devil inside me,
Nor make me drunk with confusion.
Once, in a dream,
I painted the canvas of my life.
